Heroes Base and Medals

Black Heart Models had Jeff Yagher sculpt three fantastic historical heroes for their Micromania line--Jesse Owens, Joe Louis, and Jackie Robinson. I helped at the finish line with this project by sculpting the base with the boxing gloves included, and also digitally sculpted and 3d printed the Olympic medals for Jeff to incorporate into his sculpt. Another instance of digital sculpting and printing enhancing traditional work. I was able to create crude shape scans of the master sculpts to ensure that everything would fit exactly when put together. A great use of the technology--it didn't need to capture detail, just dimension.
